Helping

The Lumad students have been struggling in an indifferent nation-state that has been dismissing their being for the longest time. Now, in this pandemic, they suffer even more.  Despite persecution and oppression, they have remained resilient because of the school. The school is their sanctuary. A manifestation of hope in a world that could care less about a marginalized community. The school has protected them, and enabled them to claim education as their right. For them to boldly say “We have a place in your society” and “We belong”.
